Customer is always right - Thing of the Past


I sent the below letter to courts just now... we'll see how this goes...


Dear Courts,

I am extremely unhappy the way I am being treated as a customer and consumer by Courts Megastore Sri Damansara. Kindly find the chronology of events as per below and my take on the overall experience.
I fail to understand why I need to continuously follow-up for a service I have paid for . Is there no proper planning and scheduling system in place ? Even if Courts is outsourcing installations to external contractors, this is transparent to me as a customer. If they fail to deliver on time then Courts staff should stay alert and source alternatives.
And why was it so difficult to call the store itself ? if the general lines for the store are outdated then shouldn’t the website be updates?

Was asked by sales assistant if I was interested in including a paid installation package in the service for RM270. Accepted the additional charges.

Was advised that installation would be made within 7 days

Tried to call store as per numbers displayed on web – Absolutly no answer from at least 5 general line numbers. Called nearly

Eventually went to the store at 6pm, requesting info on when installation would be made. Was advised installation would be made on Friday (5th Dec 2014)

Requested time of installation, was advised that installer would callto set appointment time later, but was given installers phone number so I could call him for enquiries if required

I called installer regarding installation time for 5th Dec. Installer informed he was unaware of installation. Would check back and call.

I called Courts general customer service for clarification . Customer service advised they would check and revert back.

Courts Sri Damansara called and informed that installation would be made on Tuesday 9th Dec 2014. I asked time of installation – still unable to provide. Installer will call back again
